Call for Symposia - Now Closed!
Deadline for proposals has passed.
The 80th Annual Northeast Fish & Wildlife Conference will be held on Monday, April 21 – Thursday, April 24, 2024. The conference host, NH Fish & Game, looks forward to welcoming you to the Omni Mt Washington Hotel in Bretton Woods, NH.
At this time, the Call for Organized Symposia is now open! If you have an innovative idea on a timely subject that would appeal to fish and wildlife professionals from across the northeastern states, we want to hear from you!
An Organized Symposium is a series of integrated presentations that address aspects of a single topic or theme. Symposia are the scientific centerpiece of the meeting and will run concurrently with other technical sessions. A symposium can consist of invited speakers only, or be open to accepting presentations from the general call for abstracts, which will open in early December.
Responsibilities of Symposia Organizers: Organizers are responsible for coordinating with the Program Committee, planning their session, selecting presenters, moderating their symposium, and adhering to all deadlines. NEAFWA does not pay registration fees, travel expenses, or honoraria for symposium organizers or presenters; and everyone must register for the conference.
Scheduling Note:
The NEAFWA program pattern is shifting! Due to the event start date falling immediately after Easter Sunday, the NEAFWA program will now begin on Monday and will adjourn at noon on Thursday. The Concurrent Technical Program and Organized Symposia will begin on Tuesday afternoon, after the Plenary Session, and continue through Thursday noon, when the conference adjourns.
